    Great Pad for the Price

I have several of these pads and have also owned the AP style for my jumping saddles -- love them! I have never had any of the problems the other reviewer mentions, despite being very naughty and putting them in the drier sometimes. The wither relief is enough for my sharks/TBs and they keep their color well (unlike the Mattes pads, ugh).

Love the colors; the quality not so much

Posted by Unknown on 20th Nov 2012

I got one of these saddle pads about two years ago. The color 'Coast' is very flattering on my black horse and the piping is a nice touch that gives my horse a finished look. I like that with this pad I can advertize that I'm at the barn to have fun and am not taking things too seriously.

The quality of the pads themselves does leave much to be desired, however. I washed mine in a very gentle washer and dried on low in the drier when I first got it and it shrunk. The corner that you can see while riding is all warped now, a year later, despite the fact that I have only hung it to dry from then on (which is problematic in the winter). Also, the black piping quickly lost its color. I carefully went over the piping with a large, black permanent marker and it has looked sharp since, but I wouldn't want to have to do that for every pad I buy. To the pad's credit, the main body color, which was the reason I bought the pad in the first place, has not faded at all.

Overall, would I recommend these to a friend? Yes, but I would warn them about the quality first. The colors are delightfully fun for schooling and hacking.
