Sizing Your Helmet
To measure your head for the best fit, use a tape measure in centimeters. Place the tape measure ½ - 1 inch above the eyebrows (it should skim the tops of the ears), and take it round to the fullest part of the head. This is the circumference of your head in centimeters, and you should choose a helmet size that is in this range.
Firmness and tightness can feel similar when wearing your helmet, so take notice to the difference. When wearing the helmet, the brim should be about ½ - 1 inch above your eyebrows and level across. You should feel a firm, even pressure around the circumference of your head. No gap should exist between your helmet and head.
The length of your chinstrap should rest just under your chin and touch the bottom of your ear lobe. You should be able to fit a finger in the space between strap and your chin. The strap should be secure, but still allow you to move your head up and down comfortably.
Note: When trying on your helmet, be sure to wear your hair in the same style you would wear it when riding.
Care Instructions for Your Helmet
Your helmet should be kept in a temperature-controlled environment when not being used. Extreme temperatures as well as fluctuating temperatures can be detrimental to the integrity of the shock-absorbing materials within the helmet.
The inner Coolmax lining of your helmet can be removed and hand washed if needed. The smooth shell helmet may be wiped down with a wet cloth and the microfiber shell helmet can be spot cleaned with warm water and a damp cloth.
You should never clean your helmet with any alcohol-based liquid, as this will damage the helmets.
NOTE: All helmets MUST be registered within 30 days through the manufacturer. If the helmet is NOT registered with in 30 days of purchase, it WILL NOT qualify for their crash replacement policy.
