Hock Boots Provide Gentle Warmth Therapy for your Horse’s Hocks

Our Hock Boots with Holes give you another choice for dealing with arthritic or capped hocks. Consisting of a neoprene exterior, we infused the interior of the boot with our state-of-the-art Welltex fabric containing ceramic powder which reflects your horse’s natural body warmth and creates a soothing far infrared thermal warmth. This is a well-recognized method used to help relieve and heal injured muscles, joints, and tendons. The boot fastens around the hock but leaves the hock point uncovered. Attached Velcro™ straps allow you to adjust the boots’ fit. When you use these boots it helps to use standing wraps to prevent them from sliding down.

Our Hock Boots with Holes are ideal to use for injury prevention or recovery. Do not use our Hock Boots without Holes for turnout.

Sizes:  3¼" diameter hole

How to measure:  take the circumference of the leg about 5" above and 6½" below the center of the hock for the Top and Bottom measurements.

    Great Hock Boots!

Posted by Abbey on 25th Jun 2013

I love the BOT hock boots. Bought them for my horse about 6 months ago, and he uses them everyday for about 3-4 hours. He was really stiff in the hocks and these helped him become less stiff within a week or so.

    Great product, but poor design/fit

Posted by Paige on 24th Oct 2012

I've used BOT products on myself and have had excellent results. My equine massage therapy instructor also raved about them, as have many of my friends. Although the products themselves work, the design of these hock wraps is flawed and needs improving. I bought them to use on my OTTB mare who has arthritis in her hocks. I only use these wraps when she's in her stall for an hour or two, and even then I'm afraid to leave her with them on. In order to get them to stay on, I have to tighten them a frightening amount, and I worry about them simply being too tight. But to leave them where they seem like they'd be comfortable and won't prohibit her movement, they slide down her legs. With some re-designing, I would love this product - but for now, be careful with it. I would never recommend leaving a horse wearing these unsupervised for a long period of time.
