This original apple-flavored electrolyte/mineral replacement helps keep horses hydrated after a strenuous workout. Unbalanced electrolytes and minerals can cause muscle stiffness, tiredness and dehydration. Restores electrolytes, prevents dehydration and aids appetite and water consumption when used as a daily feed supplement. Each 1 oz dose contains 12% min potassium, 36.5% max salt, 21% max sodium, 6.9% max calcium, 0.5% min magnesium, .001% phosphorous, manganese, zinc, iron, copper and cobalt. Dosage in normal temperatures: 1/2 oz daily for light work, 1 oz daily for moderate work, 1-1/2 oz daily for heavy training. Use 2 oz daily for intense training in hot, humid weather. Mix with feed. 1 oz scoop included. 5 lbs = 2 mo supply.

Label Information:

Finish Line's Apple-a-Day electrolyte is the original apple-flavored source of electrolytes and trace minerals.

Directions: We recommend you mix Apple-a-Day with the feed. However, Apple-a-Day will dissolve in water as well. Fresh wather and a salt block or loose salt should always be free choice for your horses.

Apple-a-Day contains no non-electrolyte fillers, such as sugar, so you feed less than most other brands. Increased work and increased temperature and humidity will make your horse sweat more, requiring more electrolytes.

We recommend 1/2 oz daily for horses at rest in a hot environment or for horses performing light work at normal temperatures. Feed 1 oz daily for horses doing moderate work at normal temperatures or light work in hot climates. For heavy training in normal temperatures or moderate work in hot climates feed 1 1/2 oz daily. A 1 oz scoop is enclosed.

Ingredients: Salt, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium sulfate, calcium lactate, zinc sulfate, artificial apple flavor, manganese sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, cobalt sulfate.

For use in horses only.

I put this in all our horses' feed daily to prevent dehydration...much better than "sugar" products!

    Gets the job done

We use this at the trail string I work at, and it keeps a group of nearly 3 dozen elderly horses going strong in the summer heat. They all seem to like the taste and it is affordable enough for a business on a budget.
