It is no surprise that Rebecca Yuhasz Smith of the eponymous lifestyle brand Rebecca Ray Designs chose to focus on the sporting life. Her family celebrates a lengthy history of adventure, art, and most importantly, animals. Not only is Rebecca a third generation English Setter fancier, she also raises top show dogs, and is an accomplished equestrian. Throughout her life, Rebecca has amassed an impressive collection of sporting art, vintage fabrics, jewelry and paper ephemera. Creating a lifestyle company that incorporates her collections and passion for animals is a unique way to share her interests with the public. Her American Couture handbags, accessories and home décor brand, Rebecca Ray Designs, reflects the love and respect for animals that she has known since childhood.
It only seems fitting that as the business grows, Rebecca has included family and friends that are all well-versed in the horse and dog community. From the Amish harness makers who hand-make her leather products to the sales team who ride and show world-class horses, a large team of authentic animal enthusiasts and experts work side by side to develop this beautiful product.
Today, through the use of authentic equestrian hardware, responsibly tanned leather, traditional handwork, and the finest quality fabrics, Rebecca Ray Designs reflects the spirit of the Sporting Lifestyle: nostalgic, modern and timeless. Uniquely American. Untamed Spirit. Unharnessed American Couture.
Rebecca Yuhasz Smith currently lives and works in bucolic Chagrin Falls, Ohio, with her husband Derek, their young daughter Elizabeth, and their small menagerie of eleven show dogs, three horses, two ponies, four English Lop bunnies and four cats. Rebecca and her family are currently restoring a historic 35 acre farm built by a prominent Cleveland architect from the early 20th century.
